MENU:

Tiefenbrunner, Pinot Grigio, Vigneti Delle Dolomiti

Straw yellow in color with lemon reflexes, this Pinot Grigio is youthful and lively. In the nose this wine has aromas of citrus, white blossoms, pears, apples and meadow grass. There is a fresh, crisp minerality and a clear finish.

AMUSE:  Salmon Rillettes on grilled baguette

PG Soaked Green Apple with Brie and pomegranate seeds in phyllo cups

Argiolas, Costamolino, Vermentino di Sardegna

Vermentino often shows the fragrance of macchia, the mix of evergreen shrubs and herbs that typifies the Sardinian landscape. Costamolino hints at aromas of pine and mint coupled with ripe stone fruit and sweet citrus. The palate is at once vibrant and textural and finishes with lingering acidity. Costamolino is produced with the Mediterranean table in mind. The wine’s lemony acidity will accent rock lobster or squid but carries enough weight to work with spaghetti topped with bottarga or a bowl of brothy clams and fregola. Vermentino’s herbal flavor can also highlight vegetables such as fava beans or fennel.

First Course:  Seared Crabcakes on a slaw of fava beans, shaved fennel and white balsamic vinegar.

Derthona Vigneti Massa

Aromas of honey, nuts, freshly cut apples and flint invite you to explore this Timorasso and delve into its complex and endless nose. The palate is rounded and rich, with notes of petrol and lush roasted apples ready to be added to a pie. A warm embrace of flavors envelops your senses, topped with a delightful sprinkle of salt that elevates the wine to new heights. The Vigneti Massa Derthona is not your typical light and simply refreshing Italian aperitivo white wine. It’s got substance and structure and deserves substantial food, such as richer fish, poultry, and pork dishes. From the Colli Tortonesi in south-eastern Piemonte, 'Derthona' is the ancient name for Tortona and is home to where winemaker Walter Massa rediscovered the Timorasso grape. Known for its honeyed minerality and acidity, structure and depth, this is the reason an extra year of bottle aging is required. A great alternative to Austrian or Alsace dry Riesling.

Second Course:  Lemon & Herb Risotto with Parmesan and Hazelnuts

Frappato Terre Siciliane IGT                                                                                                                     A beautiful, fresh Frappato from the Pianogrillo estate in Sicily. Bright red and translucent in the glass, with ripe cranberry, red berries, and eucalyptus notes. A perfect light-bodied red

Third Course:  Bucatini with Bacon, Roasted Red Peppers and Ricotta

Fattoria Selvapiana, Villa Petrognano

This has aromas of dried herbs, crushed raspberries, blackberries, grilled meat and orange peel. Medium-bodied with chewy tannins and a savory, wild and firm palate. Tangy acidity, too. The sanguine yet cool nose features aromas of soil, lead, brambles, pepper, graphite and fennel. On the palate, the earthy element flexes its muscles, but balance comes from an emergent berry note and enduring, flinty undertones of pepper emphasized by a rush of acid. Firm tannins provide solid, reliable scaffolding

Fourth Course: Garlic herbed Pork Tenderloin with mushroom and tomato ragu

Patria Etna Rosso Femina (100% Nerello Mascalese)

A bouquet of cherries, blueberries, and blackberries persists into the palate, where it is met with blackcurrant and oak for a full-bodied and velvety wine.

Fifth Course: Smoked Duck Breast over creamy polenta with roasted root vegetables

Vigneto Giardino, Rive di Colbertaldo, Asciutto, Valdobbiadene (DOCG)

Acacia and citrus blossom aromas open the nose of this vibrant Prosecco. Notes of Fuji apples and quince flow from the glass. It's crisp and fresh on the palate with a gentle perlage that delivers lemon, pear and a touch of almond.

Dessert Course:  Lemoncello Mascarpone Cheesecake with fresh berry coulis
