101 Workshop - Basic Painting

Description

The painting prep workshop is the first part of our painting workshops and is all about the prep! Prep for success!

You will learn the basics from which brush you choose to cure time of a piece. We will also work together on a workshop piece and show you the basics of destressing.

This class is suitable for anyone new to the world of furniture painting and also for the seasoned painter who wants to a learn about the paints and products. Whether you are are looking for a new hobby or business this class will set you on the right path for success.

Our workshops are short modular sessions enabling you to pick and choose the ones that best suit your needs. 

These fun and informal workshops are held at our shop based within The Amityville Workhouse and given by shop owner, Jennifer Odell. The class sizes are kept to a maximum of 6 people to optimize your learning experience.

We are offering 2 different levels of attendance should you want to pre-purchase RAD Pads (Sanding Pads) for your own use vs borrowing ours.

Included in the base package is a workbook, (2) 1oz colors of Fusion Mineral Paint and a sample board for you to take home.  We will also provide coffee, tea, soft drinks and snacks.

The workshop  will give you the tools to make your painted furniture stand out from the crowd and hopefully inspire you to practice and experiment so that you will go away and create beautiful pieces.

Minimum Attendance
A minimum of 2 people must be registered 48 hours in advance. If the minimum registration attendance is not met, the class will be cancelled and you will be offered to reschedule on a future date or refund (excluding tax, service charge and RAD pads if purchased. RAD Pads will be available for pickup or mailed to your home.)

Cancellation Policy
There are no refunds. Any classes not attended will be mailed in kit form with instructions to do at home. (2) available colors will be selected by the shop. There are no refunds or make up dates with other groups.
