Join Vale Stargazing at Lleweni Gliding Club on August 12th 2026 from 5pm until late for a spectacular view of the partial eclipse (weather permitting) and a chance to see the Perseid meteor shower after dark.
Vale Stargazing Club is hosting this Solar Eclipse event where we will be providing safe observing options for attendees.
BOOKING IS ESSENTIAL FOR THIS FREE EVENT. There are a limited number of tickets (30 in total) so be quick! Please book sufficient tickets for your party.
IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION!
NEVER LOOK DIRECTLY AT THE SUN, EITHER WITH YOU NAKED EYES OR ESPECIALLY THROUGH OPTICAL EQUIPMENT WITHOUT APPROPRIATE SAFETY EQUIPMENT. TO DO SO MAY RESULT IN PERMANENT EYE DAMAGE OR LOSS OF VISION.
Equipment will include solar scopes, eclipse glasses (included in the ticket price), solar binoculars and small telescopes with special white light filters for your safety. All observing equipment will be managed by experienced observers.
Bring a picnic if the weather is fine.
