The 15th Annual Puerto Vallarta Chili Cook-Off brings together outstanding local chefs and chili enthusiasts for a delicious day of tasting, discovery, and friendly competition.
Sample a variety of distinctive chili creations prepared by Vallarta’s finest chefs, then return for another taste of your favorites. Every attendee receives one vote to help choose the winning chili, giving you a chance to join the excitement and support the dish that impresses you most.
A panel of local food experts will also evaluate entries in the Professional category, recognizing standout recipes and culinary skill. If at least three first-time participants enter, we will hold an additional competition to celebrate their contributions.
Whether you are a dedicated chili fan, a curious food lover, or simply looking for an enjoyable way to support a charitable cause, this festival offers plenty of flavor and community spirit. Come hungry, explore the entries, and help crown the people’s favorite chili.

The Puerto Vallarta Chili Cook-Off is an annual event featuring chili tasting (& judging), music, and fun. Proceeds benefit local Bay of Banderas charities overseen by the Jay Sadler Project A.C., a Jalisco-based nonprofit.
