About Becky:
Becky Sanford is a Legit Kits Certified Instructor with nearly 20 years of quilting experience and a deep passion for teaching. Introduced to quilting by her grandmother - who patiently taught her hand-quilting - Becky’s journey is rooted in tradition, craftsmanship, and mentorship. She has participated in hundreds of quilt-alongs, bees, and swaps, always seeking innovative techniques and compelling designs.
Prior to becoming a quilting instructor, Becky has taught dozens of classes across a wide range of subjects over the years, developing a clear, engaging teaching style that translates seamlessly into the quilting classroom. She has been a pattern tester for multiple quilting companies and designers, gaining broad insight into a wide variety of construction methods. In 2020, she discovered Legit Kits and was immediately struck by the artistic flair, innovation and precision of their designs - unlike anything she had previously encountered. One of the inaugural Legit Kits Certified Instructors, Becky has traveled all over the Intermountain West to introduce and teach Legit Kits techniques. She has completed dozens of these kits and delights in empowering quilters of all skill levels with confidence, accuracy, and inspiration.
