Share Area Stage Company (ASC), established in 1989, is an award-winning professional theatre company that for 32 years has staged provocative, world-class theatre productions. Founded by John and Maria Rodaz, ASC originated in Miami Beach as one of the pioneers of the Miami arts community that surged in the 1980’s on Lincoln Road when the once high-end shopping area had become a dilapidated strip of empty storefronts. Since its inception, ASC has presented a mix of contemporary plays and original new works, producing numerous world premieres, quickly “changing the perception and standards of what South Florida's theatres can and should be,” according to the Sun-Sentinel, which described the organization as “one of the most influential theatres in the region.”
Description
Area Stage Company's Conservatory Program presents its annual holiday showcase on the outdoor stage at our new home at Sunset Place. Students from private lessons and group classes have been hard at work, preparing holiday-themed performances for you to enjoy. Local business sponsors will be providing food and drinks for this fundraising event which will take place over the course of two evenings: Tuesday, December 15th and Wednesday, December 16th. An email was sent to conservatory parents with the schedule indicating which evening each child will be performing.
For the health and safety of yourself and others, all tickets will be sold by party. No individual tickets will be available. Each party (whether you select front lawn picnic blankets, VIP tables, chair clusters, or standing room high-top tables) will be assigned a socially distanced section. Tickets must be preordered and will not be available at the door.
We encourage you to arrive at 6pm, when seating begins, to enjoy food from local business sponsors. The performance begins at 7:30pm.
Chairs are not permitted in Front Lawn picnic blanket section so as to provide all guests with the best possible view of the stage.
If you have additional space in your party for a child performing in the show, they may watch the show with you. If not, they will be provided seating in our backstage area.
