Nu Pi Omega Chapter was chartered December 14, 1980 and is proudly celebrating  over forty years of service in Peoria. Our chapter membership includes forty-five college graduated; professional women of color committed to serve all mankind. 

Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated was founded on the campus of Howard University in 1908 and today boasts a membership of over 355,000, and 1,061 chapters worldwide under the leadership of International President Danette Anthony Reed.
