Fall Showcase: Scenes, Monologues, and Musical Revue - Upper level acting and musical theatre majors present a series of scenes, monologues, and songs to showcase their journey through realism and foundational musical theatre pedagogy. Come share in their joy for storytelling as the actors present Act I: A Dissonance of Degrees – What’s in the minds and hearts of college students today?, a humorous and heartbreaking portrait of a new generation struggling with higher education’s promise of “personal transformation.” The musical actors present Act II: My Next Story, a deeply personal examination of the frustrations, struggles, dreams, and desires they’ve experienced from their first year at HSPVA to the aspirational booking of their first show on Broadway and beyond. All performed in a fast-paced revue that spans theatre classics to contemporary hits!
