We’d like to invite all of our homeowners to get involved with Western Carolina and support the Cats during their football season this year! Not only is WCU football a fun way to be a part of the community at large, it’s a great way to connect with fellow homeowners. Last year, our tailgates were widely attended and highly regarded by our homeowners as one of their favorite events of the year.
In the spirit of community, we invite you to be a part of our Pot Luck style tailgates. Each tailgate we’ll provide the shuttle, tables, grill, as well as hotdogs and hamburgers for the amount of sign ups we have. We’d love it if you brought your own favorite tailgate dishes from home. Tailgates will be BYOB. We’ll also provide your ticket to the game for those that sign up ahead of time through Simple Tix. These are regular seating tickets and do not provide access to Paws Porch or the Catamount Corner. 2023 WCU Football Schedule and Tailgate times
September 9th - WCU v. Samford - White out (Wear your white!) - Game starts at 2:30pm. Tailgate starts at 11:30am. Shuttle leaves Greeters Cottage at 10:45am. Shuttle to return to Greeters Cottage around 7pm.
September 23rd - WCU v. Charleston Southern - Family Day / Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians Day - Game starts at 2:30pm. Tailgate starts at 11:30am. Shuttle leaves Greeters Cottage at 10:45am. Shuttle to return to Greeters Cottage around 7pm.
October 21st - WCU v. Furman - Heroes Day (Military Appreciation Day) - Game starts at 2:30pm. Tailgate starts at 11:30am. Shuttle leaves Greeters Cottage at 10:45am. Shuttle to return to Greeters Cottage around 7pm.
October 28th - WCU v. Mercer - Homecoming - DUE TO HOA WEEKEND FESTIVITIES THIS WEEKEND, WE WILL NOT BE HOSTING A TAILGATE FOR HOMECOMING 2023
November 11th - WCU v. ETSU - Blue Ridge Border Battle / Hall of Fame Day - Game starts at 1:00pm. Tailgate starts at 11:30am. Shuttle leaves Greeters Cottage at 10:45am. Shuttle to return to Greeters Cottage around 5:30pm.
