Description

Open to all Registered Adult Volunteers!


You’ll learn basic jackknife skills, knots, fire-building, cooking over the fire and more and get the needed certification to take your troop camping! Our meal will also be a good example of what you can do with your troop-simple and easy! Added bonus-- training is close by-no traveling to Door County or Kaukauna! This training is open to Leaders, Co-Leaders, other Troop Volunteers or Troop Parents. You must be a registered GS Member to attend; if you would like to attend but are not registered, please register prior to 6/3 for the 2022-23 membership year and forward registration confirmation along with training registration. Lunch & Snack Included!

Each participant will receive a binder containing everything we go over in the training as well as songs, games, skits, meals and other useful outdoor information.

Training is free unless you are from another Service Area and then it is $10.00.

Deadline to register is Sunday, 5/19/24.

De Pere/Oneida Service Area Girl Scouts

Our Service Area is a subset of the Girl Scouts of the Northwestern Great Lakes Council, located in De Pere, Wisconsin.  We have almost 400 girls registered as Girl Scouts and over 160 registered Adult volunteers as of 2/2024.  Our Service Area organizes many events throughout the year including a 5-day long day camp in August.
