The Illinois State Black Chamber of Commerce, Inc. (ILBCC) is a non-profit 501(c)(6) business organization dedicated to fostering a more inclusive and prosperous Illinois. As the preeminent Black trade organization in the state, we wholeheartedly advocate for minority businesses and entrepreneurship across local, state, regional, and national levels. Our fundamental mission centers on empowering small businesses by offering strategic support that enhances their competitive capabilities and capacity. By equipping them to flourish in local, state, federal, and commercial contracts, we actively contribute to their sustained success.
Since our inception in 1997, we have diligently navigated the dynamic crossroads of public and private sectors, championing sustainable opportunities for Black, women, minority, and veteran-owned businesses. Our unwavering commitment has fueled steady growth, and through our extensive membership base and network of local chapters, agencies, organizations, businesses, and corporations, we proactively cultivate a healthier business climate. Our collective endeavors aim to reduce economic disparities in underserved communities, fostering a more equitable and prosperous landscape for all.

Through our steadfast commitment, we have emerged as the foremost champion for the over 132,000 Black-owned businesses across Illinois. Together, these businesses form a rich tapestry of industries, reflecting the diversity and resilience of our state’s entrepreneurial spirit.
