Description
TAPA - Steel Drums
The TAPA Steel Drums camp course introduces students to all aspects of steel drum performance. Open to students with or without prior musical experience. Classes will be Monday through Thursday (no Fridays).
This summer course is for incoming 5th-9th graders
Dates: July 8-25, 2024
- Conservatory/Performance Session 1PM-4PM
- students will learn playing technique, rote playing, technical studies, basic music theory and basic reading skills on the musical staff. Students will learn a repertoire in soca, calypso and/or reggae styles culminating in a live showcase performance for parents, family and friends
Cost:
Student fee per session - $400
