Description
Step into the fun by helping Irons Mill kick off the season with a little nostalgia and a lot of creativity! Each scout troop is invited to create a life-size scarecrow inspired by their favorite childhood memories— leaning into their nostalgia and bringing to life a memorable childhood icon or style! Think classic TV show characters (Sesame Street, Barbie, Mister Rogers, Arthur) or outfits that resemble a throwback style!

Check-in is anytime between 10 AM - 12 PM
Please Note: To receive the group rate, all members of your party must arrive by 12 PM.
Groups arriving after 12 PM will be required to pay regular admission for each person. Unfortunately, the $40 group payment is non-refundable, so please plan to arrive on time to make the most of your visit!
Cost: $40 total for scouts in uniform and up to two adult leaders.
One ticket will take care of entire group, you do not need a ticket for each person.
What to Bring:
Scouts and leaders should bring clothing, accessories, twine, scissors, and any other tools they’ll need to build their troop’s scarecrow. We’ll provide the straw and a support T-post for each creation.
Each troop can name their scarecrow and/or display their troop number for recognition. Once completed, the scarecrows will be proudly displayed around the farm all season long—as long as they stay in good shape!
After building, your group is welcome to stay and play at Irons Mill Farmstead for the rest of the day.
👉 Regular admission applies for additional leaders, family members, and any guests beyond the group reservation.
Keep in mind the farm is card-only after admissions, you can buy gift cards to use at food stands or use credit/debit cards everywhere in the farm.
