Immerse yourself in the beauty and bounty of Vala's Orchard this fall for an unforgettable evening of fire-kissed flavors and farm-fresh delights. Join us for our Whole Hog Live Fire Dinner, an unparalleled farm-to-table experience where you'll witness Chef Jeff Myers and our culinary team expertly roast, smoke, and sear a spectacular buffet directly over the open flames using the freshest local and farm-grown ingredients.

Your journey begins with a scenic tractor ride from the U-Pick Apple Shed (near the Cider Mill) into the heart of our beautiful orchard, where our Orchard Hosts await. You'll have the opportunity to mingle with our chef, farmer, and cider maker while enjoying a pre-dinner drink and appetizer. Starting at 6:00 pm, our cash bar will feature Vala’s Orchard Cider Co. ciders available by the glass and in curated flights (optional upgrade) designed to perfectly complement your meal. Prepare for a feast: an all-you-can-eat spread featuring spit-cooked Beeler’s Heritage Duroc Whole Hog, smoky fire-roasted Plum Creek chicken with vibrant chimichurri, creamy mac and cheese, Vala’s fire-kissed squash, hearty cowboy pit beans, and buttermilk biscuits made from scratch.

As the evening unfolds, gather around the crackling fire pit to roast s'mores, wander through the orchard to pick perfectly ripe apples, enjoy some friendly yard games, or simply take in the breathtaking sunset over the apple trees. This is more than just dinner; it's a celebration of the season and the flavors of our farm.

COST: 

  • $95 for Adults + Optional $25 Cider Flight Upgrade  / $65 for children ages 3-12 (this ticket includes General Admissions to Vala’s Pumpkin Patch anytime after 4pm on the day of the event)

LOCATION:

  • Vala’s Apple Orchard, departing from the U-Pick Apple Shed (located near the Cider Mill)

TIME: 6:00 pm - 9:30 pm

  • 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm - happy hour & appetizers. Hayracks will depart from the U-Pick Apple Shed every 20 minutes between 6:00 pm and 7:00 pm with the last rack leaving at 7:00 pm.
  • 7:00 pm - dinner begins
  • 8:30 pm - hayrack rides back to the farm begin
  • 9:00 pm - Fireworks
  • 9:30 pm - last hayrack ride to the farm

 

MORE INFORMATION:

  • Guests consuming alcohol must be 21 years of age or older with proof of valid government issued photo ID. 
  • Tickets for this event can be purchased online only. On-line tickets are delivered digitally via email. Tickets can be printed at home or displayed on your phone when you arrive.
  • Tickets are only good for the event date of purchase.
  • Menu is subject to change based on availability of fresh farm ingredients.
  • Unfortunately, we are unable to make menu substitutions.
  • For your comfort and enjoyment, please wear comfortable shoes as the U-Pick Apple Shed is located on the opposite side of the farm from the Admissions entrance.
  • Postponement Policy: This event is weather dependent and may be rescheduled due to heavy rain or inclement weather. Guests will get advanced notice by email if the event needs to be rescheduled. If you cannot make one of the rescheduled dates, please call the Vala’s office at 402-332-4200, and you will be refunded the amount you paid. We will work with you to reschedule your event at either one of the next events, if there are openings, or possibly during the first weekend in October. 
  • Cancellation Policy: Tickets for this event are NON-REFUNDABLE.
