The Weatherford College Rodeo Team is excited to announce our first annual NIRA (National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association) Lone Star Region college rodeo at the Parker County Sheriff's Posse Arena here in Weatherford, TX. October 9-11, 2025.
WC joins Vernon College, Ranger College, Cisco College, Tarleton State University, Angelo State University, and Sul Ross State University in the newly formed Lone Star Region of the NIRA. There will be over 500 contestant runs during our rodeo with slack performances Thursday Oct. 9th, at 6:30pm, Friday and Saturday 9:30am, and two rodeo performances Friday and Saturday nights at 6:30pm. Following the rodeo performances will be Sonny Burgess concert Friday and Rowdy Decker Band on Saturday.
We are also excited to live stream all slacks and performances live on the Cowboy Channel Plus App. We believe it gives our sponsors a huge amount of additional exposure outside of our arena.
