Join us for the 5th annual BCSD Student Film Festival! The screening of Rombout Middle and Beacon High School student films will be held on Monday May 18th 2026 at the Beacon Movie Theater, located at 445 Main Street in Beacon. The show starts promptly at 7:00 pm. Door open at 6:15 pm and filmmakers are encouraged to join us early for red carpet interviews before the show!
Film genres* span everything from drama, comedy, and mystery, to stop motion, and documentary. Each short film is approximately 2 minutes or less, so you'll get the chance to see many great stories and different types of films. The technical savvy of our community's student filmmakers is outstanding.
As usual, we'll have film festival merchandise, a raffle, and a red carpet photo booth area in the lobby. Proceeds raised from this event go directly to the Foundation for Beacon Schools' fund for teacher grants, enrichment programming in Beacon's public schools, and of course, next year's film fest!

*Important Note about Content
Some films shown after intermission explore mature themes including mental health issues, violence, the use of fake weapons, and a zombie apocalypse .The films are creative and we support our older filmmakers in examining some difficult issues. However, these films may not be suitable for younger viewers. We understand if some audience members prefer to step out before they are shown.
