We're so excited to welcome you to the inaugural Bluebonnet Mahj 2026 Fall League!

Whether you're looking to sharpen your game, meet new players, or simply enjoy a consistent night of mahjong, this league is designed to bring our community together for seven weeks of friendly competition and fun.

  • Tuesday, October 27 (No scoring, just a fun night of game play and prizes!)

What to Expect

  • Weekly league play with the same group of players

  • Friendly competition with season-long standings

  • A welcoming environment for experienced players

  • Opportunities to build strategy, confidence, and community

  • Prizes and bragging rights at the end of the season

Each week you'll rotate seats and opponents while earning points throughout the season. Final standings will be determined by cumulative league points.

Who Can Join?

This league is intended for players who already have a solid understanding of American Mahjong and can play independently using the current NMJL card. If you're still learning, we recommend joining one of our Guided Play sessions or Open Plays before registering. Players should be able to keep pace to 25 minutes per game or under. This will allow each table to play 4 games total. Tables that complete 4 games before evening ends can keep playing, but scores will not be counted.

Attendance

We encourage all players to attend every league night to get the most out of the experience and help keep the competition consistent. We understand that schedules can change, so each player will be allowed one drop score during the season if they need to miss a league night. Any additional absences will count toward your final league score.

Please note: game play begins promptly at 6:30. We encourage you to arrive early to allow plenty of time for parking, purchasing food or drinks, checking in, and getting settled. Starting on time ensures every player has the full allotted time to complete all four games.
