Theatre Nova Scotia is a registered charity dedicated to celebrating and uplifting live theatre in Nova Scotia. We serve all areas of theatre arts across the province including: professional theatre companies, community theatre companies, individual theatre artists, and educators from all levels of schools and universities.

Advanced Table sales will be available for Nominees for 72 hours before opening up to general public sales. All Nominated producing companies have been emailed a password for access to advance sales. Remaining tickets will open up to the general public for sale on Thursday, March 5th at 10:00am!
The Merritt Awards are back for their 24th annual celebration! Join us to recognize Nova Scotia’s outstanding talent in the theatre industry.
The Robert Merritt Awards are unique, as the only province-wide theatre awards in the country. Professional productions all across the province are juried throughout the year, and exceptional performances, direction, design and more are honoured the following March to align with World Theatre Day.
Named for the late Dalhousie Theatre professor, Robert Merritt, the awards were established in 2002 and annually highlight the wealth and caliber of theatre creation and production in the province. Join us as we highlight the triumphs, innovations, and indomitable spirit of professional theatre producers in Nova Scotia.
