Description
Join the Rhode Island Land Trust Council for the 21st Annual Land and Water Conservation Summit at the University of Rhode Island Memorial Union on March 21, 2026! This year's theme is The Work Ahead: Caring for Our Land and Water and Creating a Just Future. What does it mean to care for our lands and waters in a time of climate change, inequity, and ecological loss? This Summit will explore the complex—and necessary—acts of conservation and stewardship across Rhode Island’s landscapes and watersheds.
We’re thrilled to welcome internationally recognized forester and 2025 New England Book Award Winner Ethan Tapper, who wrote How to Love a Forest, to share a message of resilience and the bittersweet work of tending a changing world.
You will leave the Land & Water Summit inspired and engaged, with a commitment to building a more equitable and resilient future. Don’t miss this opportunity to be a part of this transformative event, as we envision a Rhode Island where land, water, and people can thrive together.
