Pejepscot History Center is excited to launch our 2026 theme “Life and Liberty: the Ideals of Independence” with our first program and annual meeting. This event will feature New York Times bestselling historian Colin Woodard, who will deliver a presentation on the way the United States’ colonial past has shaped the increasing regionalism and polarization we’re experiencing today— the topic of his latest book, Nations Apart: How Clashing Regional Cultures Shattered America.
