Description
The Weatherford College Rodeo Team is excited for our 2nd Annual NIRA (National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association) Lone Star Region College Rodeo, hosted at the Parker County Sheriff’s Posse Arena in Weatherford, Texas: October 9–10, 2026. Our inaugural rodeo in 2025 was voted “Rodeo of the Year” for the NIRA Lone Star Region.
WC proudly joins Vernon College, Ranger College, Cisco College, Tarleton State University, Angelo State University, and Sul Ross State University as part of the Lone Star Region of the NIRA. Our event will feature over 500 contestant runs, with slack scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 8 at 6:30 p.m., and Friday and Saturday at 9:30 a.m., as well as two evening performances on Friday and Saturday at 6:30 p.m. There will be a concert following the Saturday night final performance.

FREE to children under the age of 12.
