Innovative Outdoors is excited to be partnering again with WNY Heroes Operation B.O.O.T.S. for the 10th Annual Fishing Day on June 26, 2026.

 

You will be required to upload your DD214 after registering.  Look for a link in your confirmation email. 

 

Some things to keep in mind:

1. This event takes place on boats but we have the ability to accommodate mobility impaired veterans thanks to Handicaptain Boat Accessibility lift in Dunkirk.

2. The event is RAIN or SHINE. A list of what to bring is below.

3. Space is limited and this event takes a lot of resources and organization to make it happen, so if for any reason you cannot attend after you register, please contact us to cancel your registration to accommodate another veteran. If you simply do not show the day of the event, you likely prevented someone else from being able to attend.

4. If you have attended multiple times, consider waiting to register to give others the opportunity to attend.

5. We do our best to pair you up with ONE veteran of your choice. Please answer that question with that persons name when you register.

 

WE WILL DO OUR BEST TO ACCOMMODATE VETERANS WHO WANT TO BE PAIRED TOGETHER.  DUE TO THE SIZE OF THE BOATS, WE MAY ONLY BE ABLE TO PAIR 2 PEOPLE TOGETHER.  PLEASE MAKE SURE TO NOTE THIS ON YOUR REGISTRATION AND ARRIVE NO LATER THAN 6:30AM.  

Here are some basic details:

  • Boats leave from and return from Chadwick Bay - Dunkirk, NY.

  • Fishing from 7 am - 1 pm - Please arrive no later than 6:45 am. -- Check-in will begin at 6:30 am.

  • Rain or Shine (there is no rain date)

  • Lunch is provided.  

LATE ARRIVALS ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE.  BOATS WILL LEAVE WITHOUT YOU.

IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO ATTEND FOR ANY REASON -- PLEASE LET US KNOW SO THAT WE CAN ADD MORE VETERANS.  SPACE IS LIMITED.

What to bring:

All your fishing gear and bait is provided.

  • Jacket & Hat – the temps are often cooler on the lake than on shore. A hat will protect you from the sun.

  • Soft Sole Shoes — no open-toe shoes or sandals

  • Rain Gear

  • Sunglasses

  • Sunscreen

  • Snacks/Beverages (no glass bottles please)

  • Camera

  • Sea Sickness Medication

  • Cooler for Fish (you can leave this in your vehicle until after the trip)
