The Open Door, Inc. is a non-profit organization based in Pittsburgh that provides low barrier housing and supportive services for individuals living with HIV/AIDS. Our mission is to work with those we serve to help them find and maintain housing, learn life skills to flourish independently, and gain financial literacy. Our model is "housing first, harm reduction" which means we believe in meeting our participants where they are at in their life and helping them get to where they want to be, regardless of any barriers they have or currently face.

For 20 years, The Open Door, Inc. has remained committed to one simple belief: No One Is Disposable. What began as a grassroots effort to support individuals living with HIV who were experiencing homelessness has grown into a trusted Pittsburgh nonprofit providing housing and supportive services to those who need them most.
Join us on September 18, 2026 as we celebrate this milestone with our 20th Year Trivia Celebration- an evening of community, friendly competition, and giving back.
Hosted by local favorites PGH Trivia, guests will enjoy an exciting trivia experience, prizes for winning teams, raffle baskets featuring donations from local businesses, food, drinks, and more as we reflect on two decades of impact and look toward the future. Team sizes are recommended 2-5 people per team, if you are coming solo you will have the option of being paired with an existing team or to play solo!
Every ticket, raffle entry, and show of support helps sustain The Open Door, Inc.'s mission and ensures we can continue opening doors for years to come.
