26th Anniversary Dance & Flood Relief Fundraiser
We’re turning 26! That’s right, the Austin Swing Syndicate has been hosting our weekly Thursday dance at the Fed since the summer of 1999. We’re one of the longest running weekly swing dances and over the years we’ve welcomed thousands of amazing dancers to our incredible community.
To celebrate, we’ll have Golden Hour Heptet playing from 9pm - Midnight.
The Golden Hour Heptet plays swing music for both dancing and listening audiences, inspired by the great jazz artists of the 30's and 40's.
Event Schedule
Regular Series classes will be held from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM
Intro Lesson: 8:15 PM – 9:00 PM: Intro to Swing Class (free with Admission)
Social Dance: 9:00 PM – Midnight: Live Swing Band – Golden Hour Heptet!!

TX Flood Relief Fundraiser!
Thanks to Ketsia Zinga, one of our wonderful members, we are hosting a Fundraiser for the Kerr County Flood Relief Fund. This fund distributes resources as needed to local orgs on the ground providing rescue, relief, recovery services and flood assistance. The Fund will support impacted communities including Boerne, Hunt, Ingram, Kerrville, Center Point and Comfort.
Ways to donate:
- Members who get into our Anniversary dance free of charge may donate via our ticketing site in advance. Suggested donation: $15, which is the normal member cost of a live music night. Of course, any denomination is appreciated.
- Everyone may donate onsite during the dance via QR codes. Look for the signs!
- Everyone may donate via our website. Please specify “Flood Relief Fundraiser” in the notes section.
The Austin Swing Syndicate holds one of the longest running and best attended weekly swing dances in the country. Since 1999 our Thursday night dance at the Texas Federation of Women’s Clubs (or as we call it, The Fed) consistently draws 200 people each week.
The Austin Swing Syndicate is a non-profit 501(c)(3), all-ages organization devoted to the care and growth of the Austin swing and Lindy Hop dance community. Austin is fortunate to have one of the largest, best, and friendliest swing dance communities in the United States. Our goal is to maintain this supportive and welcoming environment for as diverse a group as Austin has to offer!
