Description
Swing into a night of nostalgia at the 29th Annual USO-Style Hangar Dance!
Put on your dancing shoes—and maybe a little vintage flair—and join us on Saturday, September 20, from 7–10 PM inside Hangar B at the Historic Aircraft Squadron Museum, located at the Fairfield County Airport.
You’ll be toe-tapping all night to the big band sounds of The Nostalgics, a live swing band that knows how to fill the hangar with rhythm and style. Want to brush up on your moves before the band starts? Come early for a free swing dance lesson at 6:30 PM.
Tickets are $25 per person and include hors d’oeuvres. Soda and water will be available for purchase, and guests 21+ are welcome to bring their own adult beverages. Prizes will be awarded for the best 1940s-style costumes, and lucky guests may even win one of our door prizes!
While the Hangar Dance is a special night, the Historical Aircraft Squadron Museum is worth a visit any time of year. Home to an impressive collection of restored warbirds, vintage military vehicles, uniforms, and WWII-era memorabilia, this living museum offers a hands-on look at history. Explore the aircraft up close, and chat with the talented volunteer craftsmen who lovingly restore each piece. Their passion for aviation and history is infectious—and they’re always happy to share a good story. The museum is open to the public on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 9 AM to 2 PM. Admission is free, and donations are always appreciated.
Hosted by the Historical Aircraft Squadron and proudly supported by Visit Fairfield County.
