Description
Are you part of the 2SLGBTQI+ community and looking for support? Within the Dufferin County
area, it can be difficult to find appropriate supports and connections which can leave you feeling
alone and unsupported.
Julie Elsdon-Height has partnered with Branching Out Support Services to offer the Circles
which are group sessions held in the format of healing circles. As a person who has
served the 2SLGBTQI+ community for over 20 years, Julie brings experience and
understanding in her role as a facilitator.
Led by Julie, the circle is a safe space where each person is treated with kindness and respect.
The circle represents how we are interconnected and stronger together when we unite. This
healing circle is a place where we can collectively catch our breaths, find our bearings and
realign ourselves to find perspective and understand any imbalances in our lives.
The 2SLGBTQI+ Circle was born at the request of a community member who expressed a
desire for a queer-positive counsellor who can facilitate and also offer the opportunity for people
to connect and create relationships that can last past the life of the Circle.
Space within the Circle is limited so if you’re interested at all it is suggested that you secure your
spot as soon as possible. The Introductory rate of $100/6 weeks is for the first Circle and
subsequent Circles will have a fee of $150/6 weeks.
