Description

Learn to make a professional  40cm diameter by 25cm high drum lampshade for use on your own base.  This is a versatile size for use on large table lamps or floor lamps and can be made in either pendant or table lamp style.  The skills you will learn can then be applied to make other rigid lampshades in any shape or size.

You will make a 40cm diameter by 25cm high drum lampshade.

We will supply:

  • a 40cm lampshade ring set
  • a pre-cut length of PVC backing
  • a roll of double-sided tape
  • a tucking/finishing tool
  • simple to follow instructions
  • a limited range of fabrics
  • any required tools or equipment
  • Morning or Afternoon tea will be provided - please advise us of any allergies by emailing shop@theartoffrippery.com.au

This class is perfect for beginners - no prior experience is needed.

If you would like to supply your own fabric you will need a piece that is a minimum of 31 cm high by 132cm wide. Cotton or linen works best. Stretch fabrics are not suitable and some silks do not adhere well to the the PVC, you are unsure please send us an email at shop@theartoffrippery.com.au.  Use promo code OWNFABRIC to receive $15 off the ticket price when supplying your own fabric.

Workshops are 3hrs duration with time for morning or afternoon tea. 

Cancellation Policy

If you register for a workshop and later need to cancel your attendance, the refund provided will depend on the amount of notice provided.

Cancellation: 

2 days prior - sorry no refund can be provided

3-8 days prior - we will refund 50% of your workshop fee

9 days or more - we will refund 100% of your workshop fee less the $12 ticket processing fee

If, for any reason, The Art of Frippery has to cancel a workshop we will offer you a choice of:

  • full refund
  • a voucher to the value of the workshop
  • a transfer to the same workshop being held at another time

Date  and time changes

A minimum of 3 days notice is required for date changes.
