Description

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

Do you aspire to be in the C-suite, senior management positions,

  • where you have a cohesive team, where you lead, drive change,
  • where you are able to inspire, to motivate....

or simply just doing a good job

Whatever that might be, then you know you’ll need to master the art of influence — a skill  which is inevitable yet like any other skill can be learned.

Influence can be defined as the ability to affect the character, development, or behavior of someone or something, and it requires developing a strong emotional connection with yourself and others.

Those who master the art of influence are often skilled at tapping into the emotions that drive people’s actions. This explains why influence is synonymous with leadership. Behind every great leader is an army of followers acting in support of their mission or cause. In fact, when Time magazine ranks the 100 most influential people globally, their largest group isn’t comprised of sports stars, music icons, or philanthropists, but leaders such as Michelle Obama, Xi Jinping, Jacinda Ardern, and Bob Iger.

Why are they  such good influencers?

Even if you are Not the CEO, CFO, CIO today, we all know that in whatever positions we are in,  to influence is the key to our success or should I say the key to a good, happy career.   Because even if people do report into you, they only obey you outwardly due to your title. Worse,  in today's organisations,  where the organisation hierarchy gets flatter and many whom we work with, do not necessarily report into us as in a traditional project team getting their buy-in or alignment is critical to our success!

So what do you need to learn to be that inspiring, influencing lead or manager?
