Let's make art together! Guided art experiences that meet you and your people where they are.
Creating is good for EVERYONE!
Description
Unleash your creativity and master the art of handbuilding in this comprehensive 6-week course. Whether you're a young creator or an adult looking to learn a new craft, this class provides a supportive, tactile environment to explore the world of clay.
What You’ll Learn
We dive deep into the foundations of handbuilding (no wheel required!). Over the course of the term, you will gain hands-on experience with:
- Core Techniques: Mastering pinch pots, coil construction, and slab rolling.
- Surface Design: Experimenting with sgraffito, texture application, and underglaze.
- Guided Projects: Utilize custom templates to craft functional pieces like mugs, bowls, and boxes.
Your Vision, Our Guidance
We believe in "intentional creating." During our first session, you'll define a personal project goal—like a custom planter or a specific sculptural piece—and we will provide the technical guidance to help you bring that vision to life by week six.
