A theatrical call to action to create access and awareness for performers with disabilities, is comprised of source material from our former Co-Founder, Lynn Manning, with additional support by Donald Jolly. Informed and inspired by interviews with people with disabilities acquired through violence or accident, this play chronicles the lives of two recently disabled performers, Reggie "Rough Rider" Dunmeyer and Terresa Lopes, as they battle ablism in their attempt to break into the mainstream hip‐hop music industry.

IT'S A KRIP HOP NATION (where are my crippled homies at!)  will truly remind us: Disability like race, gender, class and queerness is not only apart of our identity, it is reflective of our community and culture. Artistic Integrity and Talent involves all of our identities to tell a universal story that invites participation and shared experience. It’s about to get real. 

This presentation, comprised of Performers with Disabilities in the roles of Reggie and Terresa, will be an accessible-to-all production, and thanks to the National Arts and Disability Center, there will be ASL Interpretation and Audio Description services at every performance. 

Special Performances: From the Bay to the City Angels - a live stream of the 6/10 performance with the Lions Center for the Blind in Oakland.  Double Hitter - Leroy Moore and other KRIP HOP NATION artists presentation at 6pm, followed by Watts Village closing performance on 6/11. 6pm start for both.
