Movies in the Marquee

Come and enjoy your favourite family movies in a beautiful marquee in the gardens of St Mellons Country Club. We have created a relaxing family-friendly event where you and your friends and family can enjoy a film in a safe and socially distanced space.

Each ticket is sold per picnic table and can have a maximum of 6 people per table. You can choose your picnic table, and that will be yours for the duration of the film showing. You can also bring your own food and drink with you to the showing. 

Why not pre-order some yummy cinema snacks so they will be waiting for you when you arrive? 

Timings

As part of your booking, you have three hours to enjoy the marquee and atmosphere and relax in the garden.

The film will begin 30 minutes after the doors open. You are also welcome to stay and relax after the film until the end of the booking window, so no rush to gather up everything and head out.

Movies in the Marquee is a relaxed family friendly experience, with films that are perfect for getting the family or a group of friends together in a safe, socially distanced cinema experience.

Each group will have a dedicated picnic table to themselves to relax and enjoy the film in a private marquee in the grounds of St Mellons Country Club. 

Location 

The event is on the grounds of the beautiful St Mellons Country Club.

The hotel is set in acres of beautifully maintained landscaped grounds, and has easy access to the City Centres of both Cardiff and Newport and is adjacent to a golf course.

COVID Awareness

All the picnic tables will be 2 meters apart from each other to help with social distancing. We will have sanitisation stations near the toilets and throughout the marquee, for you to keep you and your family safe.

We ask that if you suspect that anyone within your party has symptoms of COVID-19 that they remain home for the safety of themselves and other guests.

We have allowed time between showings to ensure we can sanitise and clean, ensuring all picnic tables and facilities are safe for all our guests.

Food and Drink

Classic cinema treats and snacks will be available to pre-purchase once you have booked your table. Your confirmation ticket will have a link to pre-order your films snacks. These will then be waiting for you on your picnic table when you arrive. There will be limited food available for purchase onsite, so its best to pre-order.
