Description
SBCAL Virtual Conference featuring Dr. Ronnie Floyd Thursday, Aug. 27
Since the April 30 Virtual Conference was such a success, some have requested that we offer these from time to time. We are offering another one on Thursday, August 27, from 3:00-4:30pm ET/2:00-2:30pm CT.
We appreciate Dr. Ronnie Floyd, President/CEO of the SBC Executive Committee, for sharing with us and for allowing us to ask him questions. He will be live by Zoom.
After Dr. Floyd, we are also delighted to hear from Harrison Smith, Regional Alliance Director for Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF). He will share an update on how the recent Supreme Court decisions affect our religious freedom and explain how ADF can help protect associations and our churches.
New SBCAL Partnership with ADF to Protect Religious Freedom
Threats to religious freedom are increasing – the law is changing, churches are experiencing discrimination, and new issues are arising. To help better prepare and protect our members, SBCAL has partnered with ADF Church Alliance, a legal membership program of Alliance Defending Freedom.
How does this partnership benefit you and your association?
More than ever before, churches need to have the proper religious freedom protections in place. And in many cases, church leaders look to you for assistance. ADF Church Alliance can help by serving as the religious liberty resource the churches in your association need.
Through SBCAL’s partnership with ADF Church Alliance, you can access two free legal guides to distribute to your churches. These guides are designed to help church leaders understand their rights and learn how they can better protect their religious freedom.
Beyond the free legal guides, your association and the individual churches under your care can become members of ADF Church Alliance at a discounted rate of 20%. Members become part of a nationwide network of churches committed to defending biblical teachings on life, marriage, and religious liberty. Members also have access to experienced First Amendment lawyers who are available to answer religious liberty legal questions, conduct document reviews and offer advice, and even provide representation in court if necessary and appropriate – it’s virtually all-inclusive for religious freedom legal issues.
We encourage you to take advantage of our partnership – you can learn more about why your support of ADF’s alliance-building efforts is important and how the program serves you by taking part in the SBCAL Virtual Conference August 27. Register now!
