Join us for a powerful and timely fireside conversation with Rabbi Angela Buchdahl, the first Korean American to be ordained as both cantor and rabbi, as she reflects on her unique experience growing up between Korea and the United States and the meaningful intersections she has discovered between Korean and Jewish identities. In dialogue with Kyung Yoon, President & CEO of the Korean American Community Foundation and a prominent broadcast journalist, they will explore the evolving relationship between the Korean and Jewish communities, the cultural values that connect us, and the opportunities for deeper partnership in the years ahead.

The program will open with remarks from Senior Rabbi Joel Nickerson, speaking on behalf of Wilshire Boulevard Temple and the Karsh Family Social Service Center, and from Robert Ahn, President of the Korean American Federation of Los Angeles, who will offer insight into the vibrancy of LA’s Korean community, the distinct character of Koreatown, and the challenges and opportunities shaping its future.

Sponsored by Wilshire Boulevard Temple, the Karsh Family Social Service Center, and the Korean American Federation of Los Angeles.
