About the Event

Join us for our ONLY virtual screening in September! A Culinary Uprising: The Story of Bloodroot., an award-winning documentary that celebrates nearly five decades of feminist resilience, vegan/vegetarian nourishment, and earth-centered community.

Bloodroot is more than a restaurant, it's a feminist sanctuary, founded by Selma Miriam and Noel Furie, who are committed to creating a safe space where women can gather, connect, and be nourished.

This intimate film is both a tribute and a seed: honoring the legacy of Bloodroot while inviting us to imagine new recipes for culture, resistance, and belonging.

“It’s not that we wanted a piece of the pie. We wanted a whole new recipe, altogether.” — Selma Miriam
