Description
Welcome to a staged-reading of A Day in Moscow/A Night in Ukraine consisting of three new one-act plays centering on the life of Sasha, a Russian poet/soldier in 2022. In Sasha, Phone Home, Sasha's adoring mother learns that her son is not on a training mission, but rather is fighting in Ukraine. In the second play, Our Lady of Zarvanytsia, set in 2023, Sasha encounters three unique Ukrainian women who have taken refuge in a religious shrine. In the third play, Brighton Beach Memoirs of the Future, set in the year 2030, Sasha finds himself a new home in that most delightful of neighborhoods--Brighton Beach, Brooklyn.
