The Yolo Land Trust has one simple and vital mission: to conserve agricultural land in Yolo County. Since its founding in 1988, YLT has permanently conserved over 13,030 farmland acres on 78 farms with conservation easements, ensuring that agricultural productivity will continue, wildlife habitat will be sustained, open space will be preserved, and our rural quality of life will be safeguarded.
Description
A Day in the Country 2026
Join Yolo Land Trust for their annual farm-to-fork fundraiser, A Day in the Country.
Sunday September 13 from 2pm – 5pm
Gill Orchards in Davis, CA
A Day in the Country is a true celebration of Yolo County agriculture. Guests will enjoy delicious tastings from the region’s top chefs featuring fresh, seasonal food grown on Yolo County’s rich farmland. Farms, ranches, vineyards, and breweries from Yolo County join in providing additional tastings and beverages. Plus live music by the Bottom Dwellers!
This year marks 37 years of gathering with YLT supporters. Celebrating the abundance of food that grows year-round on the rich soil of Yolo County is at the heart of why YLT started hosting A Day in the Country back in 1989. What started as a small gathering with guests bringing their own appetizers has grown into YLT’s signature fundraising event, an annual sell-out event unlike any other.
Proceeds from the event go directly toward YLT’s work of conserving and protecting farmland in Yolo County. With your support, YLT has permanently protected more than 13,080 acres of farmland on 79 farms. These working lands will remain farms forever. YLT is committed to protecting soil, water, wildlife, and agriculture by conserving farmland.
