Description

The next upcoming Ensemble in Process event "A Face in the Crowd" explores the tension between the solitary struggle of individuals and the anonymous and enormous crowds in which they live. The pieces tell the stories of prisoners, commuters, isolated fiddlers, activists, Vaux's swifts and monsters. Flutist Tessa Brinckman, violinist/violist Allyson Clare, trombonist Taylor Peterson and pianist Brian Mark perform works by Meredith Monk, Brian Mark, Tessa Brinckman, Olivier Messiaen, Ted Hearne, and Randall Woolf, accompanied by digital audio, and videos by Brian Mark, Miles Inada and Devyn McConachie.
