Description

Join Dennis for A Kid From Queens, gleaned from tales of growing up in Ridgewood Queens. We meet the Kid and the hearts of all the others that he loved. It's said you can never go home again, but the truth is you never really leave.

Artist Bio:

A native New Yorker, Dennis has been a constant presence in Vermont since 1995 as an actor and storyteller. As part of various theater companies, he has played memorable roles written by established playwrights including Mamet, Albee, Simon, and Checkov, as well as original plays written by several Vermont playwrights. A gifted storyteller, he is now writing and performing his own material as solo stage performances. Humility has been the guiding force behind anything good that has happened. Dennis was nominated for the 2016 Prague Fringe Performance Award. He wrote and performed his solo play “Typhoon of Tenderness” in the 2019 SaraSolo Festival in Sarasota FL, for which he garnered the 2019 Outstanding Drama Award and returned to Sarasota for the 2021 SaraSolo WinterFest presented virtually with his solo play "Box Of Squirrels" and premiered “A Kid From Queens” live in October at the 2021 SaraSolo FallFest. https://www.dennismcsorley.com/

Tucson Fringe Festival

The Tucson Fringe Festival is an unjuried, uncensored performing arts festival. Following international fringe tenets, the festival provides artists with low-risk, low-cost opportunities to perform by using economies of scale to reduce venue rental costs and by taking 0% of the artist’s earnings. Additionally, the festival also provides the Tucson arts community with avant-garde, non-traditional performing arts at very low ticket prices. Finally, the festival does not curate or select the performances, maintaining an environment in which everyone and anyone can perform. This ensures that underrepresented artistic voices are championed in our community.
