Description
Cultivate self-discovery, creativity, and joy through a half-day retreat combining the mindfulness practices of yoga and nature journaling facilitated by our collaborators from Moduza Journeys.
Participants will gather in the natural beauty of Soleado Lavender Farm to practice deep relaxation through yoga surrounded by a bamboo forest, develop unique observations of the natural world through the practice of nature journaling, and learn about medicinal herbal traditions with lavender.
Through yoga, we will connect the mind and body through breath and movement, sharing in the earth's energy and the collective group. The practice will include breathing to deepen relaxation and an active vinyasa flow to build strength and flexibility in the physical body.
Nature journaling is a simple but powerful mindfulness practice using a journal to observe our natural surroundings through guided prompts, open dialogues, and one-of-a-kind field discoveries. Journaling can take the form of sketches, writing, note-taking, scientific investigations, and more. No experience needed.
Combined, the practices of yoga and nature journaling create a heightened connection with our senses and the natural world. Prepare to be amazed at what you might discover!
