COME IF YOU DARE! Join us for a Spooky Soiree under the outdoor pavilion at Shipshape Farm in Travelers Rest. Dance the night away and celebrate the Halloween season with your homeschool friends.

A passionate planning committee of homeschool moms (the same group that brought you the Yule Ball in 2022, The Silent Disco Dance-a-Thon for Christmas Shoes Children's Charity in 2023, and the Greatest Showman Dance in 2024) is back at it and ready to brew some Halloween magic for our homeschool community this year!
Students of all ages - and their parents - are invited to celebrate this spooky night. We'll be dancing under a beautiful paper moon, handcrafted by one of our homeschool students just for the dance! The first 2 hours of the dance will be for all ages (and their parents) and we can't wait to see everyone dancing the night away! The third and final hour will be reserved for teens only. All parents and kiddos under age 12 will be asked to depart and leave this time to the teens! Parent tickets are free but all parents MUST have a ticket, to make sure we remain within venue capacity. Please secure tickets for every person attending.
All Treats, 0 Tricks - Here's what we're planning:
- Live DJ
- Professional Face Painting (for a fee)
- Halloween-themed Snacks & Treats
- Costumes HIGHLY Encouraged! Wear your favorite costume OR just come dressed in black, orange, or something festive. Please don't wear a super scary costume -- we don't want to make anyone scream!
NOTE: Yes, you may drop off your teen for this event (must be at least 12 years old for drop-off) and our families and chaperones will do our very best to supervise them. If you're uncomfortable dropping-off, you're very welcome to stay. Children under age 12 may not be dropped off. Parents MUST remain present to personally supervise their child(ren) under age 12 the whole time from 6:30-8:30pm.
LET’S PACK THE PAVILION!
To make sure everyone gets a chance to join the fun, we’re opening the first 2 hours of the dance to all homeschool ages (and yes, parents we hope to see you out there too!)
TEENS ONLY FOR THE LAST HOUR! To wrap things up in style, the final hour will be a Teens-Only Dance Party. No one under age 12, and no one over age 19 will be allowed on the dance floor! Grim-grinning ghosts come out to socialize!

Already bought a ticket to the Midsummer Nights Dance?
Indeed, we've changed the theme. The plans are the same and your ticket is still valid, but we're going away from the Midsummer vibe and landing on a Halloween Soiree instead! We've also ditched the ice cream truck in favor of a Halloween buffet instead (with light snacks, candy, and water). If you already have a ticket, you’re all set — no action is required! All tickets for the Midsummer Night's Dance will automatically transfer over to this dance. We also hope anyone who put together a midsummer night's dream-themed outfit will still wear it to this dance. Costumes are still very much the vibe and we can't wait to see you in it!
