Raise a glass at A Toast to Local Art, a brunch-time celebration of the artists shaping Memphis right now. Hosted by the museum’s Art Now Collective, this gathering brings together collectors, creatives, and curious newcomers to celebrate the city’s contemporary art scene.
Sip mimosas, meet local gallerists, and learn how to start—or deepen—your own art collection while directly supporting artists in your community. You’ll also hear from working artists and discover simple, meaningful ways to stay connected, including joining Art Now.
The event is timed to coincide with Memphis College of Art, 1936–2020: An Enduring Legacy, the museum’s major exhibition honoring one of the South’s most influential independent art schools. With 90 works by MCA alumni now represented in leading museums and collections nationwide, the show offers powerful context for today’s creative landscape and sets the stage for the conversations that continue at Art & Aperitifs immediately after.
