Description

✨ Mignon Furman’s Steps Program ✨ is a progressive ballet training system created to give teachers a clear, age-appropriate pathway for developing young dancers from their very first classes through more advanced foundational training.

Developed from Mignon Furman’s many years of experience as a teacher, choreographer, and educator, the program combines classical technique, musicality, coordination, artistry, confidence, and performance quality in a structured and enjoyable way.

Each level is designed to build naturally on the one before it:

🩰 First Steps – introduces very young dancers to movement, rhythm, posture, coordination, and the basic foundations of ballet in an imaginative and enjoyable way.

🎵 Second Steps – develops stronger technical awareness, musicality, control, and personal expression while continuing to build confidence.

🌟 Third Steps – introduces more formal ballet training, including barre work, port de bras, and a broader classical vocabulary.

💫 Junior Steps – strengthens and expands basic ballet technique, preparing dancers for more advanced training and performance.

🌸 Between Tot and Teen – bridges the important developmental stage between children’s ballet and more mature classical work.

Now I Am a Teen – provides age-appropriate training for young teenagers, with greater emphasis on technical refinement, artistry, musicality, and presentation.

🩰 Pointe to Pointe – supports beginning and intermediate pointe work with a progressive approach designed to build strength, placement, and confidence.

With carefully planned exercises, selected music, and clear teaching goals, the Steps Program gives teachers a practical framework for knowing what to teach, when to teach it, and how to develop each stage successfully.

🌟 A complete teaching pathway designed to help teachers teach with confidence and young dancers grow with strong technique, musicality, artistry, and a lasting love of ballet.
