Description

Every year on the August Long Weekend, the men of Joshua House join the Abbotsford International Airshow team to help make one of the Fraser Valley’s biggest community events happen. From keeping the grounds looking great to assisting guests and supporting event operations, it’s a meaningful and fun way to serve together while taking in an incredible weekend of aviation and community.

This year, we’d love for you to join us.

Volunteering with Joshua House at the Airshow is more than just helping at an event. It’s an opportunity to build community, connect with the men of Joshua House, meet new people, and be part of something positive in our city. Whether you come for one day or the full weekend, you’ll be part of a team that works hard, laughs lots, and helps create a welcoming experience for thousands of attendees.

Airshow volunteer shifts will take place during the August Long Weekend:
August 7, 8 & 9, 2026

More details about volunteer roles, schedules, and registration requirements will be released soon. All volunteers will eventually need to register directly through the Abbotsford International Airshow volunteer system once it becomes available.

For now, register here through Joshua House and we’ll send you all the information as soon as it goes live.

We’d love to meet up and hang out with you this summer.

Bringing the Community Together

Joshua House Recovery Ministries exists to restore men from addiction to wholeness.

Based in Abbotsford and Chilliwack, we offer a Christian faith-based, residential recovery program where men rebuild their lives through community, structure, and purposeful growth. Each year, hundreds of men come through our doors seeking a way out of addiction—and find something more than sobriety. They find belonging, responsibility, and a renewed sense of purpose.

Our model is simple but powerful: community is the cure. Through shared living, group-based support, meaningful work, and spiritual formation, men learn to live differently—not just for a season, but for life. From our rural campus at The Creek to our in-care and after-care homes, we walk alongside each resident through every stage of recovery.

This work doesn’t happen alone. It’s made possible by people like you—those who give, volunteer, partner, and show up. When you support Joshua House, you’re not just funding a program—you’re helping rebuild lives, restore families, and strengthen our communities.

Come see it for yourself.
