Description
A fresh haircut can be liberating experience that reflects one's inner energy. My intention is to provide a free community service aimed at helping low-income members of our community. I understand that for many individuals, a fresh haircut can make a big difference in their appearance and self-esteem, and I strive to connect and provide a welcoming as well as comfortable experience for all in these times of financial strain.
Important things to note:
I do not have a lot of experience in cutting Afro-textured hair, but should you choose to trust me, I will do the absolute best I can to ensure you look and feel great when you leave.
Due to the set-up of the facility, there will not be an opportunity for hair washing before the hair cut. Please come with freshly washed hair.
Abundance's Bio:
Hi, My name is Abundance. I’m working as a Master stylist at H&Co. Salon in Toronto. With over 15 years of experience in the hair industry, I’m passionate about creating a conscious welcoming space as the foundation for promoting healthy hair for my clients. My simple philosophy in life is to always find what works best for my client’s lifestyle and hair texture. I like to take care of my clients and make them feel great about themselves with suitable, wearable cuts and colors. One of the things I love about being a hairstylist is getting to connect with people in an informal and relaxed way.
My work has appeared on red carpets and runways including Toronto International Film Festival and Toronto Fashion Week. I have worked on the set of the television series Best Recipes Ever and Surreal Gourmet. My work has been published in Flair and Chatelaine magazine to name a few of my humble experiences.
When I am not behind my chair, I follow my passion of creating meaningful art capturing my thoughts and everyday life in paintings. I have held art shows and open galleries in Canada and just recently got invited to submit my work at the prestigious Laguna Art Gallery in Southern California. I also enjoy pottery making and keeping up with yoga classes. I love being in nature, going for a hike or relaxing with a good book. I believe life presents us with unique ways to learn, connect, service and grow whenever the opportunity arises.
