Are you interested in taking your acrylic paint pouring skills to the next level? If so, then this class is a must!
Art and science will merge as participants take a more technical approach to fluid art painting. There is some predictability in fluid art, such as understanding how different paints react to each other or to different additives, and how viscosity and consistency play a role. Participants will expand their knowledge of the art of paint pouring by practicing new techniques and applying them to a larger canvas (16x20 or 12x24).
The students should have taken the regular class already or have experience with the basic concepts of Acrylic Pour Painting, like knowing that you are trying to make your colors flow and stretch out over a base with a minimum amount of blending.
Learn the mesmerizing and easy-to-DIY art form of acrylic paint pouring! In this class, participants will come away with two masterpieces, along with the knowledge and experience to make more at home.
We'll cover how to prepare your materials- including additives and paint consistency- touch on color theory, then discuss different techniques. Finally, participants will apply this to their own canvases with the provided tools and a limited number of colors, each making one 8x10 canvas and one 5x7 canvas to take home (paintings will need to be picked up at a later date when dry).
Previous paint pouring experience/knowledge necessary.
