ACT II: 
FILMMAKING FOR SENIORS

The very first of its kind, ACT II: FILMMAKING FOR SENIORS is a film course that's specifically geared towards folks who are 65+ who have always wanted to learn more about the ins and out of movie magic! Does that sound like you? We'd love for you to join us! 

This course has been created in association with the professional film company based in Belleville, Eighty Twenty Studio. Participants will get to learn new skills like screenwriting, acting for film and television, the basics of filmmaking, filmmaking in your smartphones and handheld devices, and they'll even get to shoot and edit a short professional film!

There will be 6 sessions for this course - one per month from October 2025 to March 2026. Each session will be instructed by an industry professional (schedule and guest instructors will be announced soon!)

Session 1: Friday, October 10th, 2025, 9:00am - 1:00pm
Session 2: Friday, November 14th, 2025, 9:00am - 1:00pm
Session 3: Friday, December 12th, 2025, 9:00am - 1:00pm
Session 4: Friday, January 9th, 2026, 9:00am - 1:00pm 
Session 5: Friday, February 13th, 2026, 9:00am - 1:00pm
Session 6: Friday, March 13th, 2026, 9:00am - 1:00pm

Lunch will be provided at 1pm. And if you're able, please stick around after the meal to catch the 2pm viewing of that day's MOVIES AT THE MAC film! ** Movie tickets sold separately **

IF YOU ARE 65+, THIS COURSE IS FREE! PLEASE STILL SIGN UP BELOW. This program is made possible thanks to the support of the Government of Ontario Ministry of Seniors.
