Actin' Out!" Improv Workshop focuses on creating fun, authentic characters and is aimed to help stand-up comics sharpen their ability to perform act-outs, to aid improvisers to enhance their character work, and to give performers of all kinds a chance to have some fun!!

About The Instructor:
Marcely Jean-Pierre is a Philly-based comedian, improviser, writer, and performer from Willingboro, New Jersey. He is a head writer and performer for sketch and improv troupe NYTEShift and regularly performs improv with The N Crowd and Study Hall. A former improv instructor at Philly Improv Theater, Marcely also co-produced and directed sketch comedy shows and has coached and directed improv teams at PHIT.
VENUE INFO: The Skinner Theatre at Plays and Plays is a third floor walk-up. There are no elevators or mobility devices on-site.
COVID-19 INFO: An N95, KN95 or surgical mask is encouraged while in the building. If you do not have one a disposable surgical mask will be provided.

Crossroads Comedy Theater is a roaming home in Philly for comedy shows, podcasts, comedy classes, and more! Shows feature hilarious performers from the Philadelphia area and beyond. Classes are taught by the bes instructors in the Philly area who are passionate about making you a better at whatever your focus is. Crossroads is available for private shows, improv workshops, or other things you might have in mind. We are now starting very limited operations in Indianapolis as well!
