ACTIVATING YOUTH POWER

Description

Elevate Omaha, along with KANEKO and young community leaders, are planning this event to equip participants with the skills needed to engage in the fight for our rights in the current political realities of this country and the State of Nebraska. Participants will also have the opportunity for weaving stronger networks, training on community organizing, and advocacy strategies to be applied by young leaders through different training sessions.

Special Thanks goes out to the Youth Planning Committee for their hard work throughout this process of planning an event for youth and created by youth, in collaboration with Elevate Omaha, KANEKO, Emerson Collective, and the Goldstein Center for Human Rights, among other partners.

Elevate Omaha

Elevate Omaha was born out of the ingenuity, creativity, and leadership of young people in our community.  

The Elevate Omaha mission is to create a platform to elevate youth voice and equip young people to become leaders who advocate for themselves and their peers, provide insight about youth-driven solutions, and fund possibility to pave the way to a better future.

Elevate Omaha provides young people opportunities to participate and develop skills in our four foundational pillars:  youth-led participatory action research (YPAR), technical assistance, advocacy and grantmaking.
