Description
Adult Intro to Improv - Age 16 & up
In this4-week long course, we will go through the basics of improv, including: spontaneity, connections, accepting ideas, building off of others, active listening, and characters, as well as Scenework! We’ll do this through games, exercises, and learning concepts such as, “Yes, And”, C.R.O.W. (the basis of a scene), and more. By the end of this course, students will have a fundamental basis of how to perform improv for an audience (accumulating with a student improv show at the end of the course), create characters and scenarios from the top of their heads, embrace their inner silliness and unique qualities, and to be in the moment, reacting authentically.

A note from the Instructor: Hi! I'm Noah. I've been doing improv since 2018, when I was my college improv performance team. I have experience performing at schools, churches, and theatres, as well as teaching improv to middle school, high school, college students, and adults. I love improv with a deep passion, and I delight when I get to teach people to step outside of their comfort zone, embrace their weird, and be okay with looking silly! Improv is an artform that is near and dear to my heart, which is why I started an improv theatre!
