Join Piedmont Promise for an Advocacy Training Day ahead of the upcoming short session at the North Carolina State Legislature.
When: May 11 from 5:30-7:30.
Where: Parkway United Church of Christ, 1465 Irving St, Winston-Salem, NC 27103
The evening will include:
An overview of key advocacy strategies and how we can apply them during this legislative session
A presentation from Ryan Carter, Director of Policy at Piedmont Promise, on our current legislative priority: HB 369, the Parking Lot Bill
A roundtable discussion to share and learn about each other’s advocacy priorities for the short session and beyond
Breakout groups to practice engaging with legislators and delivering public comment
Time to call and/or email legislators in support of the Parking Lot Bill ahead of our lobby day on April 22
